Deep in Shell Item Number: Price:
$275 |
Deep in Shell features a simply breathtaking piece of Metallic iridescent Paua Shell. I felt there was no other way to properly honor that piece of shell that to allow it to stand by itself. It is like looking into a very deep, reflective pool of thoughts. A toned down, but still awesome, end grain cut of Cocobolo wood and white bone wood surrounds the pool, with a simple coiled copper fillet to accent the piece. A slightly flattened copper wire coil hangs the pendant. Dark brown cord, I think, makes this piece looks incredible on white.

I love this pendant! I learned so much making it, and I loved every second of it. I always allow myself the extreme privilege of experimenting with new ideas, while a piece is in progress. There is one such new idea in here that worked better than I could have imagined! The cocobolo main body is simply an exquisite slab of wildly- marked flat grain. Youll be seeing more of that particular piece of wood. A woven copper fillet vine and two fine Paua shell leaf inlays are complimented by a flowing copper fillet all around, connected to everything else: isnt Life just that way?. The pendant hangs from a flat hammered copper hoop with a flat copper coil accent. |

Sun and Lightning. Its very Clean; those who have seen it mention, Oriental. Its Padouk, Bloodwood Sun, and another exquisite piece of that Southwestern Ironwood. This Pendant hangs from a single, hammered flat silver well, lightning bolt, made from a bent up, left over piece of silver wire. The most obvious name for the pendant came, like a bolt on a clear day, of which I have experienced two and close range. I like the name. Could be hung on a lot of different things, but black on black makes this piece absolutely grow and glow. The silver fillet sprouting plant has three iridescent Paua shell inlays. |
Hoof and Track Item Number: Price:SOLD! |
Hoof and Track is a pendant made of apple wood taken from the first tree my Dad planted on our farm, the day of my first birthday. A hammered copper wire fillet surrounds a white bone, arrowhead- shaped inlay, which is itself inlaid with a deer track, made of deer hoof. This is a popular theme, and I use it frequently in different applications. The pendant hangs from a simple flat hammered copper hasp.
Swept Triangles Item Number: Price: $200 |
This piece is actually the work of a life-long friend who has decided to come work with me in his retirement. I am thrilled with anticipation of what our combined skills may yield in the future. I will be introducing him, soon, on this site. The pendant consists of a triangle of Bloodwood laminates ton a triangle of green Lignum vitae. In Bloodwood triangle is inlaid two shapes of floated silver and copper filings. You all do know that a triangle is one of the two strongest geometric shapes, right? The other is the circle, which has no beginning or end while yet, every point on it represents Alpha/ Omega. The hasp is a simple riveted flat of silver.
Horn Storm Item Number: Price: $350 |
My friend (see No.20) and I teamed up on this one. It is an incredible, cross-cut slice, of horn with imperfections, that when treated properly, create a storm of feeling. The wood is Purple Heart and Osage Orange. The two wire fillets are, one of copper, one of brass. The hang is a hand filed, hand rolled brass bead. Im thinking a burgundy cord
Osage Planets Item Number: Price: $350 |
Osage Planets is an asymmetrical pendant of Osage Orange wood with a Southwestern Ironwood inlay, itself inlaid with four graduated-size planets of iridescent Paua shell. There is a hammered copper wire fillet, and the pendant is hung with a ring and double link loop of ammered copper, to assure the solar system keeps moving and it does, which it must.
Vine Maple Item Number: Price: $300 |
Vine Maple is a very classic beauty. The pendant is white bone inlaid into Tiger Maple from our tree, on a background of red Bloodwood. The bone is scrimshawed with a knotted vine sprouting three scintillating Paua Shell inlay leaves. The pendant is specially designed to catch more reflected light. The hasp is rolled and filed copper bead. For a brown or dark burgundy cord, I think.
Horizontal Swirls Item Number: Price: $350 |
Horizontal Swirls is sideways amulet. It features some three-dimensional carving on the Padouk main body. The inlay of Southwestern Ironwood, I sgrown in by silver scroll fillet. The never ending Balance of Life is represented by two connected, inlay Paua shell leaves. The hasp is a flat hammered silver coil.
Cateye Item Number: Price:
$300 |
The Cateye is a prototype and a taunt to get back into the shop. The eye is made of Ebony wood, with an inlaid Osage Orange cornea, with an inlaid Ebony iris, with an inlaid silver fillet highlight. The top of the yellow Osage iris is touch-dyed green. The cats face is of a single piece of end grain cut Cocobolo wood, split, reversed, and glued back together so the wood grains suggest the cats facial hair. The face is heavily hand carved to relief. The cornea is ringed with a yellow brass fillet. The pendant hangs by a subtle hand filed, hand rolled copper bead hasp. The eye moves ever so slightly in this pendant, the excitement is this is just the prototype, the second eye is already under construction, and is fully movable, motivated by a small silver tab on the back of the pendant.
